Our staff has over 100 years of combined marketing, management, technology development and sales experience working in the finance, insurance, e-commerce, trade association and publication industries.
President/CEO: Marc Kramer Aside from being president of Kramer Communications, Marc is Project Faculty at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania; founder/president of USBizBooks (www.usbizbooks.com) and co/founder and chief marketing officer of freeSpeakers (www.freespeakers.org). Marc is a former partner at USWeb, the world's largest Internet consulting firm, prior to that, he was president of Mixed Media Works, an interactive company that produced websites for Rosenbluth International and CoreStates Bank, among others. Before joining MMW, Marc started the Eastern Technology Council, the second-largest business technology council in the United States, with over 1,000 corporate members. He also launched and ran Technology Times, the second-largest business technology newspaper in the United States; the Pennsylvania Technology Transfer Center; the Institute of Biotechnology and Advanced Molecular Medicine; the Penn State Technology Development Center, and the Pennsylvania Private Investors Group, the country's first formally organized investor angels network. Marc has also served as interim president/CEO of Business Philadelphia and Seven Arts, two large regional magazines. Marc has received such awards as the Inc. magazine Entrepreneur of the Year, American Electronics Association Spirit of America Award and was three years in a row named one of the Top Five Business Leaders Under Age 40 in the Philadelphia region by the Philadelphia Jaycees. Marc's first book, published by the Tribune Company, Power Networking, came out in the fall of 1997 and was named by Success magazine as one of the two best networking books. His second book, Small Business Turnaround published by Adams Media, came out in the fall of 1999 and was named one of the Top 30 Business Books by Executive Book Summaries for 2000. Marc's third book, Financing & Building an E-Commerce Company: Proven Strategies for Success in Any Economy, published by Prentice-Hall, came out in the spring of 2001 and was top business book selection by the National Business Incubator Association. His fourth book, Web Sites Built to Last, was published by Adams Media in the fall of 2002 and his fifth book, Consulting: The Million Dollar Start-Up Control Your Financial Future, came out in May 2003. Two leading regional business publications, Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal and The Times Herald, have contracted Marc to write a monthly business column on Internet and small business. Marc has been quoted in over 40 publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Success, Fortune, Forbes, Inc, Entrepreneur, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. In 1993, Marc was featured on the cover of international business magazine Profit. Marc is on the boards of Ecom-Energy, BrokersAlly, and Web Study. He is a former trustee of Cheyney University, the oldest African American University in the United States and is on the board of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Philadelphia and the Technology Alliance. Marc has a Master's degree in Management from Penn State University and a B.S. in journalism from West Virginia University.
